He was once a lieutenant in the dragon king's army, he retired at the end of the war with the rank of brigadier general.
His childhood was relatively uneventful even with his many siblings. Skyfright followed in his mother's footsteps and joined the army during the first war. Skyfright eventually learned some basic magic and became a rudimentary healer. eventually, he learned more becoming both a lieutenant and a healing mage. he preferred fighting overhealing, but healing came in handy quite a bit. He met his adopted daughter onion during the beginning of the second war when one of his privates went mad and killed one of onion's siblings.

At one point he had a fling with another soldier named runechatcher, the two of them didn't really work out and went their separate ways. he still visits the children that came out of their pairing, but his main focus is onion and his ex prefers that he doesn't visit often since it's not like they're together anymore. but she understands why he wants to see them.

Now that he's retired his main focus is on raising onion and keeping her away from the front lines that he spent so much of his life on. And making sure she never has to run from home again, he'd rather her be able to fly away once she's ready to live on her own.
