Torin hails from a royal family nearly on the other side of the continent, though left home shortly before his coronation. However, he knew his previous clan would need to have a leader, and left a statement to crown his younger sister in his stead once she’s of age. His sudden departure was not sudden. He had been very vocal about leaving for a smaller home, somewhere less politically charged. He’s smart for his age and disliked the horrid way of doing politics, watching his parents take part in those kinds of situations.
In his travels, he came upon a small group of dragons living peacefully, communally, and they were happy. Much happier than the citizens at his previous clan. He asked to join, and they welcomed him with open arms. They found value in him as a defender from monsters and in his strategic mind. Eventually, once the commune began traveling, he was appointed figurehead. Today, the commune admires his levelheadedness and love to help train others and protect his clan.
