During the first few seasons of the clans life, it remained just Dairon, Taunny and their two girls. Unfortunately, The clan could not grow, as Dairon had gotten a mysterious illness, leaving him sterile, and unable to procreate. In desperation to enlarge the clan, Dairon set out to find a male that would be willing to join them, and to mate with Taunny, at least once.

During his search, Diron met Herahel, a Large Guardian who was in the midst of The Search, a point in life where a Guardian will travel, looking for a worthy thing, place, person, or what have you to guard and protect.

Herahel felt that Dairon’s request was a sign and returned with him. Seeing the small clan, struggling to make it on their own, he felt like he had found the Charge in which was searching for, and vowed to help protect the clan, and at Taunny and Dairons request, aided in increasing their numbers. His mating Taunny resulted in two more Wyrmlings, one of which was the first Son to be born to the clan.

Though Herahel had mated with Taunny, They were not “life mates”. Their mating had been out of necessity, and so They did not mate again. After a few more seasons, a few more Dragons found their way to the Clan, and Mari and Raya found mates. It was Raya’s daughters Innya and Sveta, that caught his Eyes. Normally he would have only chosen one, But the two sisters were so close, that they too fell for him together, and Instead of forcing Herahel to make a choice that would surely tear the sisters apart, They chose to remain together, the three of them, as mates.
