No one is quite sure how this strange coatl ferreted her way into the clan, she just seemed to show up one day, appearing out of the vast shadows that followed them during the day's light.

Island is a joyful sort, weaseling her way into everyone's business, bouncing from clan member to clan member. This bubbly dragon gets along well with the more energetic members, while she seems to annoy the older, more grumpy ones.

Riza, Clan Ashbough's leader, was quick to notice the ebony dragon suddenly amoungst their ranks, making herself at home. She had her beloved Tao, and their elite warriors keep an eye on her every move. The clan's journey through other territories, moving toward their new Nature's domain, had brought more then enough unwanted attention.

She had to make sure Island wasn't there to make trouble.

Time passed and after awhile, Riza had forgotten about Island. Her thoughts of her as a threat were just simply forgotten. The more that silly coatl had offered advice, the more she took care of their wounds and moods, the more she was viewed as one of them.

Island had an odd habit of "teleporting." She spent her days hiding in the shadows, playing among the darkness, only to appear right when the clan had need of her. She was seen as the clown of the group, throwing silly shows, and offering as many smiles as she could give. The coatl was also viewed as a mother sort, caring for the sick and wounded through her knowledge of comfort and cures.

When asked about where she came from, Island never really had an answer. She spoke grand memories of a wind clan, living with her brilliant grandmother and fierce grandfather, but that's all she knew of her family.

The poor girl couldn't even remember their faces, and not one sliver of member came of her parents.

Island was admired, however. Her foggy past never stopped her, and she was happy with her new idenity, as well as her new Nature home.

Island has no care of elements or alliances, she freely uses her Shadow abilities, but is happy in her Nature home, surrounded by dragons who accept her. She's often called to settle disputes among clan members, and to calm any sort of ill will among them, Riza trusts her dearly.

She may be a Shadow dragon, often hiding in the dark, but her smile radiates a lot of joy and light, like a soft sunshine on a summer day. She can often be seen keeping company with the forest creatures, gathering food and resources with her trusty ferret friend, Flash. She loves to carve symbols and different pictures of beasts into pumpkins, decorating the clan with lanturns. She especially enjoys this during October, when fall takes over from summer.
