[ F E L I C I T Y ] merry • hopeful • bright B R I N G E R--O F--J O Y Felicity stretches awake as morning sunlight filters in across her nest. She blinks the sleep away from her kind eyes as a fierce warmth envelops her heart. It’s her favorite day of the year! "Oh, it’s Christmas morning!" Felicity thinks, excitement sparking a jolt of golden magic to light up the air around her. "I have so many wishes to grant today!" She takes a moment to straighten the crimson mantle adorning her neck before taking flight. Brilliant white snow sparkles and dazzles her eyes as she makes a path across the crisp, wintry sky. A white Christmas is the most magical of all! She makes way to the very heart of Sornieth, where a gaggle of young hatchlings wait with their parents for special Christmas wishes to come true. Felicity sends her faithful Dove ahead to alert the children, its cheerful chirping echoing the mirth she feels bubbling inside. Her ears are filled with excited giggling as she lands in the town square. The hatchlings gather around her as she settles in, each one smiling and nervous with anticipation. She conjures a kaleidoscope of red and green butterflies, the tiny winged creatures bursting free and flitting all around the hatchlings to delighted laughter. “Good morning, little ones!” Felicity smiles, her wings stretching wide. “Merry Christmas! Now, what are we wishing for today?” A tiny Spiral hatchling wearing a giant snowflake scarf shuffles forward, her large green eyes sparkling. “H-hi,” the little one whispers nervously. “My…my patchwork doll broke, and I really need him to sleep at night. Could you…could you please fix him for me?” Felicity nods with a smile, her magic already tingling. She takes the tattered doll into her claws. Warm, golden magic surrounds her and the doll, the energy humming with intensity as it shines brilliantly. After a few moments, Felicity hands the now repaired doll to the little one. “Thank you!” The young spiral squeals in delight, spinning in a circle. “Merry Christmas!” The other hatchlings shout with excitement and joy, quickly surrounding Felicity for their turns.
