As the Collapse began, he was among the first to notice the walls breaking, but he was also among the last to be found, barely clutching life's hand as scrap metal and rocks crashed into him. Despite his injuries forcing him to stay in bed, he seems peaceful as he recovers. Even if his goal has become unreachable, and the chances of him fully recovering are unlikely, he is just glad that he can spend it with someone that inspired him.
