Glitch

I didn’t mean it! I didn’t mean what I said. I just wanted to get away for a moment. Mom was being just so… mom! And I was so mad at her that day. That evening I went to my room cursing at her, that’s the night I made that dumb wish. I wish I could just disappear. When I woke the next morning, that wish had come true.

I can’t see myself and I can’t touch myself, but I can feel other things around me. I still eat and sleep and I cry, but no one notices any of those things. They just wonder where the food has gone, or what the lump under the covers is, and they don’t hear my crying at all. Do you know what it’s like to exist, but not exist at the same time? No, you don’t, because you are not a glitch. That’s what they call us, glitches. The ones that get stuck in between reality and nothingness.

I’m here, stuck in this void until someone can find me and pull me out. When that will be I don’t know. Maybe never? I just want to hold my mom again. I want to go home. I didn’t mean what I said. I didn’t mean it.
