 RECLUSIVE WITCH Picking a new body is easy. The mage slinks around, determines a good shape, and settles into his new normal. Long pinions, skittering claws, a long, prehensile tail... Yes, he could get used to this. He dresses, next, adapting his clothes for his new form and picking up a couple additions on the way. The dried flowers and herbs are a nice touch, and they help hide the smell of home. The hat, he laments, is a little cumbersome, so he opts to leave it behind. Furvus is welcoming enough to strangers, and he's quickly afforded a room in the Starspiral Keep, though he notes that the Gardens look quite inviting... he makes a mental note to spend a lot of time there later. As they're helping him settle in, the Archmage asks him his name. "Mikhail," he decides. It's a little on the nose, but it'll do.    |

Mikhail is quiet. He keeps to himself and focuses primarily on his studies. He's got a little balcony garden absolutely brimming with herbs, spices, and plants-- some for cooking, some for alchemical purposes. That's what he tends to spend the most time on- alchemy is his favoured school of magic, and he's exceptionally good at it. Though he doesn't go out looking for socialization on purpose, he's glad to help if someone's sick or just looking for a brew that doesn't exist elsewhere. When he's not at the Keep, he can often be found in the Gardens, quietly admiring the foliage and sometimes performing small maintenance tasks. Unlike other visitors of the garden, he tends to keep his distance from the Pinnacle. If asked why, he'll simply respond that he's not in the headspace for the noise. Mikhail tries to keep his travel and labour somewhat minimal; he suffers from joint issues and distracting chronic pain, and while he does make it a point to brew himself tonics that can help with the fact, they can't stave it off forever. His condition vexes the local healers, but he tells them not to worry about it too much.  |
