A long time back there was a great war in the Southern Icefields that brought death and harm to many a dragon. IceShine and her mate, FrostCrystal, were unfortunate hatchies born among this destruction. Her mother and father had fled with her to Dragonhome, but her father succumbed to injuries he had obtained in battle just upon reaching their new homeland. IceShine found herself numb to the world. Nothing satisfied her, everything seemed distant except the memories… the memories of snow turned red and shards of ice piercing the heavens.

So she changed her form to that of a guardian and began The Search, in the desperate hopes to once regain the love she once had and to escape the memories of the past. As she searched she trained her body, learning from wandering warriors and mighty clans the art of war and battle. It would seem odd that one torn by battle would seek it once again, but seek it she did, finding a wild sense of joy in the song and art of it all. But still it was not enough, fights only lasted for so long and afterwards the sense of bloodlust quickly dissipated.

It was not till she came to the Sea of a Thousand Currents and found FrostCrystal that her Search ended. He was like her, born of blood and ice, but yet- he sought only peace for all of dragonkind! He is her passion and her drive, and she will do all to protect him.

However, IceShine does not believe all battle is wrong. So she represents the Clan of Lionfish in all things involving battle and war, whether it be between dragon and beast or dragon against dragon. She organizes matches between warriors and plans out treaties for those who are defeated. With the help of DuskGlow and HydraCoil, she has created an Arena for dragons to practice battle and for the entertainment of the populace.

"Struggle is strengthening. By battling we gain the power to battle more. It brings out the best and worst in dragonkind, but it is through the strength and blood of many that we may have peace and freedom we hold dear."
