- Chasm knew Lux well... once
- he refuses to share, but Vesper knows about their history
- there was a time before Lux was corrupted by his obsession with his element when he and Chasm were friends- best friends even
- but during magic studies, Lux changed... over time, it was a slow process, but he was becoming darker, meaner
- Chasm tried to stay close, but Lux began to treat him coldly for being a shadow dragon
- when Lux announced his connection to the Lightweaver, the terrifying mission she had in store for him, Chasm was brave enough to speak against him
- he won't talk about what happened next
- Chasm managed to escape, dragging his wounded body back home to the Tangled Wood, where he was miraculously found by Glint who was sending a message to an ally
- Chasm would not speak- wouldn't say a word aloud- would only communicate through writing
- he hid himself away in the dungeons and refused to leave, and that's where he remains- a true testament to the evils Lux is capable of
