Though Ari has attempted to mimic Eiheth's effortless devotion he has become consumed by his desperation to do so. His façade often falls to reveal his severity and unkindness. He is blinded by his need to be recognized by both Eiheth and their deity. When he does interact with other clan members they are taken aback by his clear disdain for any who do not adhere to his strict rules for her life. It is impossible for him to conceal his lack of empathy for those who he believes have strayed from the correct and righteous path.
