Biography
HEIRLOOM
Wizard (School of Transmutation)
True Neutral
Cloistered Scholar Background // Level 15
It's not always so bad being a wizard's apprentice.
Sure, sometimes you find yourself lurking in dark dungeons, searching for rare magical reagents and beating beasts away with a staff. Other times, you're stuck for hours hunched over a desk, transcribing spell after spell after spell from one aged tome to another.
But the job has its perks. Heirloom is sure of that much. In fact, Heirloom would argue, he owes his wizard mentor an incredible debt. How else might he have learned the mysteries of magical energy? Where else could he have gained experience casting spells under a master's tutelage?
And - speaking of his master - who else would accidentally transmute an ancient relic longsword sitting on her mantle into a living, breathing, sentient Spiral dragon with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge? And then decide to teach that sword her craft?
No matter how much Heirloom loves his mentor, however, an apprenticeship is by its nature a temporary position: every lesson, lecture, and chore brought him closer to the end of his tutelage. Now, Heirloom is a fully-realized wizard ready to collect knowledge and experiences unavailable in his cloistered former home. But, he wonders, where does one go from here?
