One chilly night, below in a dark cave, there sat a small egg starting to hatch, after a moment the little dragon inside broke her egg taking in her first breath of the chilly night air.

A curious Roundhorn Melprin stops moving a log out there way, seeing the little dragon coming out of her egg, the creature looks around sniffing wondering why there are no parents scent around, it suddenly looks over as the little dragon falls over her wet mane that has yet to dry, it scurries on over looking around once more before sniffing the little dragon moving it's wet mane from it's face so it can see it smiles kindly to the little dragon before giving it a caring lick on the face and scurrying off a little, it looks back at the little dragon to follow it in which the little dragon stands up for her first time shaking her self getting rid of some eggshell stuck on her before following after the strange creature.

Many moons have passed and the little dragon now named Dewdrop is a full grown dragon, a Veilspun dragon to be precise, she somehow managed to survive with her Roundhorn Melprin friend, who helped her along the way as she grew, finding small streams of water to drink from, tasty insects to munch on, and a nice place to call home inside the cave, she lives in a area in the cave with a small opening above to let the sky shine though into the cave, she has a nest on the ground that her Roundhorn Melprin friend helped her to make, but she prefers to hang upside down with her tail on a half dead tree that is above her nest in which somehow had grown in the cave at some point in time.

Dewdrop is a shy and timid dragon who likes the safety of her cave, though now and then she has followed her Roundhorn Melprin friend to a entry/exit to the cave to see the outside world, she has seen all types of life outside of her cave, yet she tried once to leave but the bright light in the sky hurts her sensitive eyes and makes her sensitive scales feel like they are burning, so she has never tried again until...

Dewdrop is sitting at the entry/exit at her cave watching the sparkling dots in the sky and making shapes out of them, she tilts her head as her gaze goes to the moon which she can barely see from her cave, she huffs and looks outside unsure if she should try again, last time she felt she was burning, she gulps and closes her eyes and puts one claw outside the cave then another and once more to make sure, to her surprise her scales don't feel like they are burning, she slowly opens her eyes scared they may hurt but once again no pain, only the cold air blowing, she sighs a relief of happiness and squeals slightly jumping around for a moment, she has never been outside before, the grass feels so strange, and oh so many insects!

She takes a moment to collect herself from her excitement before looking up at the night sky and gasps in wonder as she has never seen so many stars before, her gaze slowly returns back the moon for a moment, when suddenly she hears a voice, Dewdrop looks around in a panic before dashing into a bush with her heart pounding, she listens and waits for a moment before popping her head out of the bush seeing a another dragon, a dragon that looks just like her...

Dewdrop looks at the dragon for a moment her heart starting to calm down, until she trips over her mane rolling out of the bush in a mess with her mane in front of the strange dragon, her heart now pounding even more than before, she scurries to her feet and looks around in a panic, the strange dragon has started to walk on over to her with a worried look on there face holding the bright light in their claws, she cries out as her sensitive eyes start to hurt, she backs away nearly tripping over her mane once again before turning around and running back to the safety of her cave!
