It was a cold autumn day, probably. For the life of him, Matthew couldn't remember. It was raining, and his feathers clung to skin, clothes soaked through, chill racking him to the bone.

But there was food there in the orchard. There were trees bursting with sunripe peaches, grapes, and apples, more flavors than he could count on his hands and toes. It was too strong a temptation, and Matthew was too weak of a dragon.

He clambered passed the marble fence, stared upon the rainbow of food until tears welled in his eyes. He ate, and ate, and ate until he could eat no more, but little did he know he had eyes on him from the start.

Not just any eyes, the eyes of the biggest Imperial he'd ever seen. And when he towered over him, face straight, those eyes burning with an intensity that paralyzed him where he stood, the last thing he expected was the soft way he spoke, the comforting words and gentle guidance.

Harley could not let such a small, frail child on his own.

Since, Matthew had grown up and adopted the name Trill. He's a pianist and an entertainer now, for the children as well as himself. Bit of a prankster. He adores singing despite being entirely incapable of holding a note, but the song in his heart cannot be contained much to the dismay of the manor's residency. He tends to be headstrong, arrogant, and a little thick. But he's the most loyal dragon one could hope to know.

As of now, Trill is married to Mint of the Cobalt Clovers, his lifelong bropal turned lover.
