Sekhmet lives as a travelling mercenary for a number of years. Bold in her partnership with her mate Osiris, the two of them take on any job that will pay them. While they earn many enemies in the process, they're certain they can handle it.

This certainty ends up ill-founded. Facing an alliance of vengeful dragons, Sekhmet is backed into a corner, and falls.

But that is not the end of her story. Some weeks later, she rises again. Bewildered by her strange existence, she takes some time to adjust to her new surroundings. And while Osiris is overjoyed to see her again, she can't help but feel that there's something she needs to do.
