I am part of Sunset's Legacy! Sunset and her mate Mudpuppy awoke from hibernation to discover they had no living descendants. The pair love caring for and teaching hatchlings, so they vowed to grow their family tree far and wide across Sornieth! Sunset's offspring have taken to the skies to flaunt their powerful flight ability and wide range of beautiful colors - sharing in a goal to spread their great lineage. Brother to the adventurous Bailey, young Antares has just as much fiery spirit as his sister, but his passion comes in the form of research and discovery. Back in the Southern Icefield, he loved to look for different plants, rocks, and anything he could find. His determination and competitiveness was what led him to participating in Bailey's game, and what got him stuck out on the ice with her. When they were rescued by the Wind clan, he excitedly threw himself into research of the new and different flora, fauna, and magic in the area. He is enjoying his new home in the Windswept Plateau, where he can discover everything about the area, and maybe even learn about the different types of magic when he gets older!


Antares' love for learning has grown faster than he has, and after a trip to the Starfall Isles, he's become focused on learning all that he can about magic. He tends to bounce around the several large magical structures of the Windswept Plateau, talking to the local scholars and researchers to learn what he can from them. He is looking forward to the day he's allowed to go to the Starfall Isles to study, when he can learn directly from the mages and scholars there. Until then, he goes with Bailey on her adventures, and while she is soaring in the sky, he studies the local plants, animals, and magic of the area. He is working on a research project that he hopes will get him into a spot at one of the prestigious academies in the Astrolodome, or even an apprenticeship to one of the masters of the Oculus of the Eleven!


Young Adult Lore:

As soon as he reached adulthood, Antares was off to the Starfall Isles. His project earned him a spot in an academy, and he thrived in the school, surrounded by students like him, who had joined at apprenticeship age, and the ones who had joined as children for their raw potential. On his first day, he was intrigued by a cute Snapper girl, who was in his advanced research studies class. He asked one of his new friends about her, and found out that she was a prodigy who had come from a rescue as a child. He thought about her for a while without knowing why, being a complete idiot who can recognize thirty different species of bugs but doesn't recognize his own crushes, until they were partnered together for sparring. She wiped the floor with him, and as she stood over him with a perfectly controlled spear of magic held over his throat, he realized he was in love. He's been trying to court her, and his determination has not yet wavered, despite her seemingly sole focus on studying.

Adult Lore:

Antares has finally managed to win over Midrin. From study partners to going out into the city together to going on dates, he got closer and closer to Midrin until they were what he thought was probably unofficially dating, but he wasn't sure if she actually liked him or just thought he was a close friend. It took the shenanigans of his new sibling Venus, with help from Bailey, to finally get him to realize she liked him, and they ended up confessing on the same day.

After graduation, he and Midrin partnered with the Oculus of the Eleven to take over the Gale Sanctum from the retiring head researchers. This allowed them to stay close to home, and still do what they love. They have recently decided to raise a family together, and now have a nest of three eggs. Despite knowing that their children will need to go out on their own when they come of age, Antares is already excited to meet them, and teach them everything they need to know.

Antares' nest has hatched, and his babies are so cute! They have the same pattern (two boys like the mate and one girl like them) and birthday as his sister's, which is either an odd coincidence or some latent magic to be investigated, and they have so much potential! They could do so many things when they grow up, and Antares is looking forward to watching them grow.
