"Don't fear the cold. Embrace it."

Svell learned the brutal ways of the Southern Icefield at an early age, when the small clan of his birth was wiped out by a rival group of dragons. Alone, the young dragon wandered the frozen wastes until he met a pack of Winter Wolves who took him in. He lived with them, becoming nearly feral, until a young guardian from Clan Volmark, a nomadic group of coastal raiders, happened across his pack one day on his Search. Reaver found his Charge in one of the wolves Svell called his family, and the two young dragons quickly became friends.

Svell returned with Reaver to Clan Volmark, curious about other dragons after so long in the wilds. The raiders welcomed him, approving of his ferocious and inquisitive spirit. He spent the rest of his youth with them, traveling the coastline and wreaking havoc as they went. The young tundra enjoyed his new life, the danger and excitement perfectly fitting the wild dragon. After a close brush with death, Svell felt a calling to serve the Icewarden and the other deities, so he decided to see the wider world and learn all of the stories and magic he could. He traveled Sornieth with merchants, adventurers, and mercenaries for most of his life, traveling through each Flight's territory in turn.

He eventually felt the pull to return home to the Southern Icefield, to the service of the Icewarden. Along the way, he decided to stop and visit a coastal Wind clan and see if they held any traditional knowledge of the Windsinger - and ran into his old friend Reaver, now a tundra, when his adoptive clan raided the settlement! The two resolved to write each other to avoid any future awkwardness, and eventually met again when Svell encountered his old friend among a clan fleeing the Viridian Labyrinth to start new lives in Ice. He accompanied them inland, leading them to a hot spring he knew of frm his own travels. He's remained with them since, enjoying the proximity to the Icewarden's fortress, though occasionally he and Reaver will trek across the frozen wastes to catch up with the raiders.

"Svell is currently the clan's foremost mage, and was declared as Icetouched by our previous Clan mage, one who holds the favor of the Icewarden and is granted elemental power beyond what many mages could ever achieve. Indeed, he is able to speak with the creatures the Icewarden sends every Crystalline Gala. He is one of Khione's advisers, providing council on matters of the Eleven, magic, and folklore. Though he is close to the clan leader, the large tundra is absolutely devoted to the Icewarden, and manages the shrine deep in the mountain."

"He might seem a bit scatterbrained compared to other dragons, but he really has quite the memory (for a Tundra). Since coming here, he has found a mate in Perihelion, one of our other Priests of the Eleven. The pearlcatcher and the tundra are an interesting pair, but they compliment each other perfectly. They've recently adopted a son, Oubliette, who Svell found on the south slope of our mountainside after a blizzard and brought back to our lair. Thankfully the little tundra was alright, and has elected to remain with us."

"Some members of the clan may find him unsettling, due to his devoted zeal and rough nature. He attributes his lack of manners and tact to the fact that he was, in fact, raised by wolves."
