Biography
Skull-bearer
Jareth is never seen without the birdskull covering his face. The Skydancer takes great care to tie it so securely that no dragon can look underneath it, and he does not remove it until he is alone.
The reason for this is his disease. The skin on Jareth's face flakes off, and in some spots it's so bad that his skull is actually visible. The wounds hurt and they make dragons with a weaker stomach sick, which is why he keeps his face covered at all times. But he also feels very insecure about it, though he'd never tell a soul. His mate knows about what is underneath the mask, and she is the only one who gets to see him without it.
But while Jareth may lack confidence in how he looks without the mask, when it's on he has no trouble with intimidating and belittling anyone he doesn't like. His voice is soft and always just a bit hoarse for some reason, and his words are sweet as honey with just the slightest trace of venom. He loves using nicknames such as dear, darling or sweetheart with every other sentence, as long as he knows he can get away with it. And even if he can't he'll still use them.
Truth be told, Jareth is a bit melodramatic. Well, scratch the bit. He loves flair, he loves drama, he loves to make others uncomfortable and play with them, just a little. But what he loves most in the world are his mate and their children. He'd do anything to keep them safe. He'd die for them, without a moment of hesitation.
