Born to a complex lineage of chaos, darkness, dreams and smoke, no one was surprised when the hatchling came out... Strange. When she opened her eyes for the first time, they kept opening. Pair after pair awakening down the length of her body, each eye seeming to gaze in wonder at the world she'd been born into.

Most of her formative years were spent in her father's library, breathing in her namesake: the smell of old books.

Bibi, as many called her, would disappear into the tomes and pages for hours on end-- maybe she should have been outside playing, but everyone simply smiled and said she took after her father. It took some time for them to begin to notice the oddities-- Bibi was coming back from her reading sessions with tales and details she couldn't have known. Parts of the stories that were never written down on the pages.

Under observation, the magic at play was revealed-- as Bibi read, her extra eyes would glaze over, going mirror-like and displaying images of the worlds she was reading about.

Though her specific lineage kept her from her family's skills with rifts and time travel, it seemed that divination was not beyond her reach. With all those extra eyes she saw many things that were never meant to be seen.

Over time, being able to see all these horrible things happening to her family without any way to stop them began to weigh on the young dragon.

It wasn't until she met her future mate, Harmony, that Bibi learned she could do more than just watch and record. By then, her powers had grown so that she no longer needed to depend on stories to guide them; she could see anyone she could think of-- and track threads of lineage to find new family and their stories, besides.

Harmony taught her to bind her visions to mirrors, and a curious new property was discovered; they continued the visions she started. With them, they were able to keep track of the worlds Bibi was able to peer into, and even began to find other family members that were lost in the same world as them.

They left the library and joined a wandering clan to keep on the move, out of the grasp of the Organization that would surely covet such abilities, and to enable them to rescue the estranged family members they were able to find.

Finally, Bibliosmia's gift didn't feel so useless.
