Originally a mercenary for hire, he found the circus in a rather spectacular way. He fell on it. Ambushed and under attack from who hired his services, he collapsed through their largest tent. Luckily, it was only a rehearsal. He was brought back to be examined as his wings were badly damaged in the crash, speared through by shards of ice and strikes of lightning. It was unlikely he would ever fly again. Belemus told him that his healers would do whatever they could and he was welcome to stay as long as he'd like.

Betrayed and left to die, Vaizel was simply grateful to be found by kind souls. Cressida warned him the medicine would help his pain that night with a few side effects.

"Pray to the deities that you may recover to ease your pain tonight.", she said.

It didn't matter so long as the burns and aching stopped for him to close his tired eyes. He gulped down the mixture and laid on his side.

Hours into nightfall, he dreamt of a figure approaching him through the dark. He thought it may have been Death's icy hands until its light pressed itself to his chest. A warmth fell over like a wave as his mind grew calm. The figure smiled sweetly, almost too sweetly, and faded to let him sleep soundly.

The next morning, his wings were healed completely in some miracle by the deities.

He usually keeps to himself and stands watch in storage areas or entrances and exits during showtimes. The scarf around his neck is longer than most as he gets cold often and uses it more as a shawl. Vaizel keeps candy on his person at all times for children they encounter. Mostly because Valoran's scary looking face frightens them when they pass by.
