• always "hemlock" to/around other people, speak and act with barely an indication that they have separate minds at all
• not quite separate individuals, but not really the same person either. the incredible proximity created by their telepathy breaks down barriers even other aberrations manage to retain
• lovelace can hear others' thoughts as if spoken aloud [especially tsuga's] this varies in intensity depending on who they're listening in on, but they can always pick up something
• tsuga can feel others' emotions almost like they were coming from their own mind [especially lovelace's] but still noticeably distinct. this varies in a similar way to lovelace's telepathy
• lovelace does most of the talking, and has the more domineering personality. they use both their own and their sibling's abilities for their gain, letting their emotions flair or keeping careful control depending on what suits them. they can still manage to lie to tsuga, but tsuga cannot lie to them. lovelace is also not above physical violence when stubbornly defied or caught in a lie
• tsuga rarely speaks aloud, they are used to being heard whether they like it or not, and to anticipating lovelace's replies based on their immediate emotional response [though lately their sibling has been feeling colder] as much as lovelace attempts to more subtlety manipulate them, tsuga often sees through their bluffs, and more victories are taken simply through tsuga acquiescing to avoid more vicious treatment
• both are masters of their own personal forms of doublethink, constantly adapting to gain ground over one another
• despite their hostility towards one another, they are loyal compared to their interactions with anyone other than each other, and work very well together when necessary
• their body is entirely controlled by both of them in tandem, in a way that neither can quite describe [lovelace seems to feel a more intense connection to their body than tsuga]
