Just like all his children, Memphis was bond to be exalted to the deities. No clan accepted him, but he had embraced his death. Until a tribe from nature rescued him from joining his children. He found a sanctuary, but it was not a permanent home. That is, until one day, a joyful nocturne visited the area. His eyes were just like Memphis', and so that caught the attention of the coatl. The nocturne stared at him and made a terrible attempt at humming. Memphis shrugged and shook his head.
"Oh I am sorry, I have no lips... well, nevermind that, we are looking for dragons alligned to the Lightweaver, to join the thousand lights at our temple in the arcane. What do you say?" Memphis blinked. It had been a long time since someone had spoken to him, and it had to be someone offering him a forever home. He hummed, "yes, I don't see why not." but Apotido, the nocturne, tilted his head. "I did not understand you. Well, let's get going then." And so they flew to the arcane, where the Thousand Lights Temple remained tall and proud. Some passerby ghosts yelled at the newcomer, and he got a bit startled, but Apotido hissed at them to drive them away. When they arrived, Merle accepted the newcomer coatl, and so he was guided to where the thousand lights live. Moonglow, the master of the light, saw his potential as lightbringuer, but he noticed something. "You light. Its so cold... but in a comfortable way." Memphis hummed, but when he realised the wildclaw had not understood him, he repeated, this time speaking. "I have yet to find someone that can warm my light." To this, Moonglow smiled, and so the coatl was welcomed on his forever home.

Memphis enjoyed his time alone, and would shyly listen to the conversations of his peers. All of them had such radiant lights. But one day, he would find the one that would turn his light into the warmest.
