Strider's egg was found by Meenal while the small clan was scavenging through a small ravine in the Everbloom Gardens. Growing up in the small clan, she has a lot of experience with the hatchlings that grew up and went on to travel to other clans and flights, including her own. She is not good with other dragons when she first meets them, and seems very aloof and stand-offish. At other times, she can be downright rude. However, she doesn't try to be ill-mannered, and once she gets to know other dragons she is quick to deliver a sarcastic comment. She is not like the flight she is born into at all. She is not entirely nurturing or warm, rather like the Ice Flight she has a frigid exterior that is only exacerbated by her sardonic interior. However, Strider is kind and caring to the select few dragons she is closest to. Upon meeting Jake, he would shy at her cold gaze and figured that she loathed him. Strider was simply fascinated by him and found his quietness very endearing. They became mates very quickly. Among her other friends are Meenal, who discovered her egg, and Rose, who joined long after she did, and Calibrator, her former mate, who she is still amicable with. She shares her large, roomy nest with Jake, which is underneath a few low-hanging trees on the edge of the clearing, so privacy is assured. The branches which touch the ground are wound together, with brambles added, to create a sizable, cool burrow with the floor covered in soft moss, perfect for two small Fae to live together.
