Biography
Kaolin, daughter of Pitch and Scorch, is the lair's resident sculptor.
She can often be found in her family's chambers, absolutely covered in clay sludge and dust, skillfully working some fine pottery or decorative statuette with her delicate claws. Most of her brothers and sisters took after their father and trained in the ways of war before moving on to join other clans or to serve the Flamecaller, but Kaolin quickly tired of warrior training and chose to stay with her birth clan and pursue her artistic interests.
Recently, Kaolin has also been roped into fashioning small pots with lids in which to package her mother's healing salves and lotions, which are then passed onto Aurina to trade and sell. Kaolin doesn't mind the extra work too much - the small percentage of treasure she earns goes right back into purchasing materials for her more creative work, and contributing to her mother's business helps her feel like a useful part of the clan.
When he's not too busy hunting or fighting the beastclan raiders, Kaolin's father Scorch offers his fire-breathing skills to help bake the finished clay pieces. Kaolin has some fire skills but nowhere near her father's level of ability, and so greatly appreciates his help. The gentle artist has little in common with her fierce warrior father, so this collaboration is greatly valued by both of them as one of the few ways they can spend time together and bond.
