From the start, he was a gilded child blessed with the favor of the gods. When he was born he was wrapped in golden silk and the entire village crowded around his crib, hushed with amazement and expectation. "What a beautiful child," they whispered, staring at the golden marks tracing and outlining his scales and causing him to reflect the sunrise light.

He was a boy made out of gold and from a young age the words were whispered into his ears.

the "good" one. he's royalty of sorts and always grew up as the role model, expected to be perfect. he fulfilled the persona but he was bored of his life and not as good of a person as everyone believed. he didnt do charity because he wanted to, he did it because others expected it of him and it was the easiest method to keep his standing. then he meets the Bad one and they get caught up in a thing and start bantering. the bad one sees something interesting in this good one and his life and loves bothering/teasing him, knowing that the good one cant do anything too horrible to get rid of him because of his standing. he likes being a part of his life and watching him go along it even if its in this antagonistic way (because he knows hes not morally good and he quite frankly doesnt care). but the good one starts showing interest. this bad one is the only person he can be kind of mean to and drop his persona around. he is also interested in his life. but the bad one is like no because he knows good and bad shouldny mix and he doesnt want to drag this person into a mess he cant handle (plus all of the good ones friends and relatives would blame him and while he doesnt mind that in itself it would be bad for his standing). but the good one can handle it because hes not at all as good or innocent as even the bad one, who can see through the façade, thinks.
im pretty sure i got this idea from problems by mother mother lol
