Biography

Tallow Candle Here, in the untamed reaches of the cave, one has to see by their own light, whether it be night vision, a spell, or a simple candle. The darkness swallows the walls, leaving one with nothing but the cold stone under their feet and their own thoughts. A drake could go mad like this, alone in the cold and the impermeable black, an unseen stalactite dripping water echoing in the emptiness the only accompaniment to your breath. Can you even turn back now? Are you hopelessly, utterly lost? Are you even alone?
There, in the corner, was that a light? A lux spectre, perhaps? You know those aren’t real. You know the tales the clan tells about the depths we’re standing in as well, you must. That the only beings that can survive here are the insane and the damned. Which are you?
The candlelight flickers threateningly, the cold, damp air nearly extinguishing it. Don’t move too fast, now; don’t give in to desperation. What was there? There, in the corner, the gold? Bring the candle over here, won’t you? Don’t fear.
Ah, an Obelisk! Perhaps it’s one reverted back to its stone state, or perhaps it is one yet untouched by the Earthshaker’s breath. Seems to be made of gold and onyx, with tanzanite gems for eyes. Look, there's an inscription at the base... Kazy, it reads in scrawling script under the beasts’ claws. To convince someone to do something even if it is not in their best interest.
Look, in its front paw, it's holding a scroll. Aren't you curious? Aren't you going to take it? Pull it out gently, careful of the claws - what does it say?
