Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this Magick-touched Guardian wandered a little too far from her home lair (547330, AppleChampagne), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

ERIN
{ Magick-Touched } *********************** Oracle |
Every dragon is born with magic, it is well known and obvious, from breath weapons to abilities, to the beautiful boosted flight of couriers. So how does one be considered "magick-touched" compared to another? Wouldn't all be considered if it was possessing magick as the criteria? Erin was no different than any other dragon in her clan, young and sweet hatchling full of magick. Born in a clan resting on a small chunk of Hoverview Vale, Erin was as carefree as her clan that spent their days gliding through the sky, gazing at stars, or playing in the beautiful prairie within the floating island. she reflected the sun above that seemed so near, and dreamed of walking on top of the clouds before the great blaze. She often spent her days sun-bathing in the warm and windy prairie, admiring the rays beating down on the island. She was trying her hardest to learn to fly, but was told it was too early to test out her wings, and instead she should learn the fundamentals first. The first time she felt negativity was at this, wanting to learn as fast as she could to fill her dreams. Rather than wait, she snuck off when no adults were looking and found a spot she thought was a great take-off, facing the sun. With a running start, she lept off the island and spread her small wings. The wind was warm under her scales, and she saw the sun growing closer before her... before it began to rise above her rapidly. She was falling and flailing, crying for help but no dragon could hear her, her hiding pot having been too good. Plummeting to the land below, she fell into a thick forest of blues and greens, finally landing on a massive puffball mushroom that cushioned her fall. Rolling off, she felt the ground under her claws and shivered, it was cold, lacking any warmth from the sun at all. Erin cried out for anyone, looking around and beginning to sniffle. Alone, lost, and very far from home, she didn't know what to do. The darkness of the dense forest seemed to close in on her, and she could tell the day was ending. A branch snapped and scared her, causing her to run away from the sound, blindly into the forest. By the time she stopped, she was in a clearing, and flopped down. Looking up, pinpricks of what looked like stars shown above, and she was excited to finally see the sky, before realizing it looked like the night sky was all around her. Blue and green and pink glowing spots encircled her in every direction, and she truly felt hopeless. Laying down, she began to accept she would never see the sun again, before a soft voice spoke. "Why do you cry, child?" it said, and she looked around for the source. "Who's there?" Erin asked, stifling a sniffle. "A guide, a friend," the voice responded, and she heard leaves rustling but didn't see anyone. "I'm... I'm lost, I fell from the island in the sky and I can't get out of here, and I don't know how to fly," it all began to pour out of her as she cried harder, before a warmth so great it could have been the sun's enveloped her. It surprised her, and she saw a pale, almost see through Guardian holding her, a kind face gently looking down on the small hatchling. "It will be alright, you will see the sun again. Your journey does not end here," the Guardian said, sweeping together underbrush with her tail and settling Erin down in it, laying with her. "Rest for now, when you awake, you will see the sun and spread its warmth and light across Sorneith." The tiredness that swept over Erin couldn't be fought, and she fell into deep sleep as the night passed. When she awoke, she was sitting on the edge of the forest, looking up at the rising sun as the first rays peaked over the horizon. She barely remembered her encounter last night, only able to think of needing to spread the warmth of the sun. Still unable to fly, she decided to travel and find other dragons, starting on her journey to spread warmth and make her way home, holding an unknown magic within her that was sure to come about. |
