"Child of Lord Casimyr, Calantha never wanted for anything growing up. The thick, dark walls of Blackbone Castle were her home, where she lived happily for a time with her father, who taught her all she needed to know. Her mother was largely absent, being the fickle spirit of nature that she was, but at least she did her children the courtesy of naming them.

Calantha and her siblings grew up in luxury, their own rooms, their own beds, clothes, toys, and servants, but even with that, the natural urge to fly the nest took hold over her.

Though it is not quite so simple for those of her and her father's kind to go out and make their own place in the world. As vampires, they are reviled and feared by many, the sanguine hunger ever gnawing at them.

They have however been taught how to hide this by their father, and can exist among other dragons with relative ease. The fact that their mother was not a vampire also makes blending with society easier for them, needing to feed less and being able to walk in daylight without perishing, although they are greatly weakened by it still.

Children of this lineage are proud, intelligent, and unafraid, steadfast allies and friends to those who give them their trust. They will not be quick to betray it."
