Kiraku picked him up during one of his trade expeditions, and is overly fond of him. Taerus also liked to keep an eye on him, pleased with his aggressive approach to life.

Kraken picked up the best of the worst qualities of the dragons who 'raised' him. He developed an utterly self-absorbed and entitled approach to life, attacking all who displeased him or appeared weak enough to succumb. His father's madness also seemed to reside in him.

He attempted to expand his influence by having children, but his mate and offspring left. Though the clan was directionless, none had any interest in following his rule. While a great warrior and hunter, he expected servitude from those he declared his subjects. As he grew older, he became more and more isolated from the clan.

When the war between the iilah and the Brood broke out, he considered it his right to step forward and take command of everyone. None considered him a threat or a true candidate for leader, so his ravings were mostly ignored. A handful of confused and scared dragons did flock to him, but when Lye finally stepped forward, quickly went to her banner.

He went with the clan on its pilgrimage, and once again tried to make his claim as leader. Lye's new inner circle deemed him unworthy of response, and drove him away from the main body of the clan. He wandered the wastes for a time before returning.

Kraken clings to the edges of the clan, sometimes attacking, sometimes defending them.
