Biography
Cause of Death: Murdered by his brother
"How I died? I'll tell you how I died, my good-for-nothing brother shot me straight through the heart! Quite literally in fact. We had a terrible row after I had brought new ideas to his desk on how to run the hotel. His bright idea was to threaten me for "putting the future of the hotel at stake" the idiot. So he shot me, shot his only family right through. He always was afraid of progress, even at the expense of our guests. You know he once threatened to remove me from ownership of the hotel for attempting to replace the dusty old moth eaten curtains in the lobby."
he sighs and shakes his head
"He was always so worried about it all falling apart, I suppose he felt that if we changed the way things were run at the hotel then guests would stop coming and it would all come crumbling down. But guests had already stopped coming, they wanted to stay somewhere that had basic modern amenities. Amenities that he refused to implement for the sake of tradition. The fool thought tradition would save him.
Would you like to know what it is we were arguing about when he shot me? I felt it a good idea to install a new chandelier into the lobby, thought it might add a sense of class, of sophistication. But no, the thought of changing even one thing in his beloved hotel was too much for him, so much that he killed me over it.
The exact details often escape me, I suppose emotion clouds my memory even so many years after it occurred. It happened in his office, as many of our more bombastic fights did. I had brought up the idea of the chandelier before, by then it must have been something of a sore subject for him. I admit I may have been a bit pushy in asking him to consider the idea, but for god's sake he shot me over it! I believe that counts as quite the overreaction! so no, I will not be pursuing reconciliation at the moment, I don't believe I ever will. I see no reason to, if he felt any remorse over my killing he can come to me himself!"
