Octana

Octana is a witch by birthright. Born under a full moon, she was regarded with harshness from the day she hatched. The unusual rune on her flank did her no favors; in the eyes of her elders she was a bad omen. Her familiar, a Curious Parasol that had appeared out of nowhere, was only another reason for them to shun her.

On her fifth birthday, Octana began to show unusually strong magical talent. It was the final straw for the elders; she was carried away from the clan and left in a bramble thicket for the monsters of the Tangled Wood to finish off. Thanks to her familiar and quickly-blossoming magic, though, she survived.

For a long while, she was alone. Able to forage for herself, she made her way to the Windswept Plateau mostly by accident; there, she remained until she was confident in her magic.

Once her skills were sufficient, Octana returned to the Tangled Wood. There, she met an alchemist by the name of Kamri; the pair became fast friends, and Kamri offered Octana a place in her clan.

To her surprise, Octana was given a warm welcome upon her arrival. She found herself enjoying her time in the town, and eventually decided to stay as the urge to wander faded. Finally, Octana had found a home.
