Aldealgrim

"The Trio of Gold,
What terrors do they hold,
Their power that burns so bright?

With their cackles and laughter,
That will send you into hereafter,
Once you are in their sight!"

The crimson and gold dragoness stared at their nest in irritation, claws tapping angrily on the stone beneath her. Oh she knew it wasn't her glowing white mate's fault, but it was the state of their nest. Her nest, to be precise. The veil had been the thinnest the night their eggs were laid and hatched. What was once four eggs, there now were three cackling hatchlings. Three. The fourth egg? It's power had been siphoned by these three before it could hatch. Although no child of theirs was alive until the translucent egg cracked open, it.... only meant that their powers were, unfortunately, just as uncontrollable as Taliesin and her's first nest.

"This is... unfortunate." the white dragon sighed, tone disappointed as his eyes glowed from behind the black fabric. Their childrens' eyes were a deep shade of crimson and a strange taint of shadows swirled in their power. He could sense it, a corroding thing that only upset the balance they thought to have created between their magic. Instead it now tilted just as dangerously out of balance as their first children.

"We will need to keep an eye on them as they grow. If they do not learn to clear their minds and try and purge this corrosion, they will remain dangerously unstable. The thinning veil did not do us any favors." Ausir huffed at him, leaning down to nose their hatchlings. One hiccuped and breathed a gust of sparking magic which caught the air on fire. The dragoness drew back and closed her eyes, counting to ten. This.... will be an interesting trio.

Many say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And although that may be true, if anyone dared to not revere Aldealgrim for his gleaming crimson and golden visage? Well that was a ticket straight into being on his bad side. For you see, even though his brother Tirian liked to terrify those they come across, his little 'trick' you could say, was even more unsettling. Around him, scattered like toys discarded, were bones and skulls. Even adorned on his wings and tucked slightly between scales were seemingly an infinite amount of them. Fangs shown as he parted his lips and he began to hum.

As his eyes began to glow, the bones began to lift into the air, swirling around them until they finally were re-completed. Skeletons of birds and lizards slowly turned their empty eye sockets to him, bones rattling as they shifted. They were so eager to fulfill whatever wishes their master had for them. Aldealgrim sighed lightly, almost motherly brushing a stray leaf off of the largest bird skeleton. It was his prize and joy. Altoll he had named it. It was his first ever successful completed reanimated companion, and for that, he would destroy anyone who dared to harm it. The others were expendable, but this one was special.

"Ah Altoll... It's a beautiful night... All it's missing is some well-placed chaos. What do you say my old friend?" he purred, a nasty smile on his lips. After all, due to his name, and his army of reanimated skeletons, many preferred to call him Grimm... or the Grim Reaper. Tonight is perhaps best spent indoors.
