Used to be a student at a university in Lanternlea Port. In his final year, he got into a quarrel with someone who stole his research materials and plagiarized him. Both of them were expelled after their conflict turned violent. Kairos thinks their punishments shouldn't have been equal (he didn't even attack first), but he tries not to dwell on that.

Nowadays, he works on experiments with [name] and produces alchemical materials to sell. The Sanctuary is peaceful, his partner is fun to work with, and he likes what he does. His old university friends still write letters to him, and they sometimes mention how the other student is doing. He derives a little satisfaction from knowing his life is going better than theirs.
