THE SOURCE
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Neither Beastclan nor Dragon, the Source is an enigma amongst the Legion, yet it is treated as if it is another Deity. Having first appeared after the corruption of Reginn, the Source claims to be 'The Cure of All that is Forsaken'. It observes the Clan, waiting to find a dragon worthy enough to 'Save'.
The Source is the 'Parent' of the Symbionts that have taken a particular liking to Reginn and his family that inhabit the Legion. It's body is covered in a blackened ink-like substance that drips to 'create' a new Symbiont. Older than time itself.

It watched the Clan from it's perch, keeping a keen eye on a particular Imperial that had been leading a small group.
That one.
And then, from the inky shadows of it's body, a serpent-like mass coiled free. It carefully moved towards the Imperial being watched.
You have been saved, newborn Carrionix. Follow our will.

The Source stared at all of the newly 'cured' Carrionix, eyes squinting in an unseen yet wicked grin.
Rise, my family.
All at once the dragons convulsed, heads looking towards the sky as they let out ear piercing screams.
OBEY THE SOURCE. FOLLOW THE WILL. PURGE THE UNJUST. THE FORSAKEN MUST FALL.
It laughed. A sickening sound that made any dragon shiver.
Good.

It's 'family' grew. It's power doubled as it took over more and more dragons. Soon enough the entire bloodline of Reginn was corrupted.
Minds were broken and spirits lost.
But it was all for the Cause. It would be worth it.
At least, thats what it kept telling them.
A new era has begun.
A new generation of Carrionix are here.
It's maw opened, a void of darkness that twisted into a sickening, fanged grin.
The Purge has begun. The world will see a new breed of Survivors.
