Blind Oracle of the Ice

______ Eyes the color of fallen snow slowly open as Frostbite listened to the snowflakes fall. He could hear the sound they made as the wind swirled around them, could see through their faceted faces. His eyesight may have been taken due to the power he once sought. For to see the future, one must give something in return. And for him? That was the sense of sight.

______ Once, when he was a younger dragon and began to control the element of ice, he learned of this strange notion on how one can see the future through the very element itself. He chased after the elusive rumors. For if he could claim that power for his own, he could prevent the disasters that lie in the future, ready to strike. Yet for his over-eagerness in wanting this for himself, due to his selfishness, the very element itself took a price of its own.

______ The snow melts, becomes water, then freezes in an eternal cycle. It will never forget what it witnesses. Unlike beings that grow old and die, its memory is forever.
