Biography
Return to Bxy26
"Um, Cassandra?"
The Fae turned to see a rather nervous Skydancer. "Yes, Spiritus."
"There's, um, another one of those things sneaking around. We thought at first it was your friend, but now we aren't so sure." It had been about a week since their return, and most of the clan still hadn't gotten used to the two-headed monstrosity. Lleorax didn't mind when others startled at the sight of him...although he did mind when they forgot his name.
Lleorax poked one head out from the alcove where he was sleeping. "No, I'm right here." The other head slid out after to corroborate. "And our name is Lleorax."
Spiritus shuffled nervously. "Sorry. Lleorax. Anyway, I just saw it again, and it's definitely not you."
Curiosity piqued, Cassandra fluttered after the Skydancer. Lleorax was right behind her. "Who else saw this other dragon?" he asked.
"Oh, it was me, Skava and Skali, Quartzite, Sean, Coatlicue, Spirit...I'd say about a quarter of the clan thinks they've seen it. Marquise said she saw it, too, but you know you can't trust her vision."
Lleorax nodded. Each of his heads scanned the surroundings in a different direction.
Still, it was Spiritus who picked up on it first. "There."
Sure enough, right where the training fields ended and the woods began, another two-headed dragon was sitting back on its haunches, watching them.
"Not very smart," Cassandra commented. "What if the warriors saw them."
The creature began moving toward them with an awkward, shambling gait. Spiritus shrank back at its approach, even though it was slightly smaller than he was, and much smaller than Lleorax.
"Hi!" one head chirped. The other shrunk back.
"What are you doing here." Cassandra's frills were flat, demanding an answer.
"I followed you," the head that was talking continued. "All the way from the Plaguelands."
"Why?" Lleorax asked, bewildered.
"I like you," the head said.
The other head groaned and tried to hide behind the other. A muffled hiss could be heard. "Stop it. You're embarrassing us."
