B I O G R A P H Y

Ashlynn was born on the planes of the Sundial Terrace, under the beams of sunlight that covered the land in a soft gold. As a hatchling, she was often seen sunbathing, basking her wings in the glorious light and watching how her wings seemed to reflect it. Something was always odd with the feathers, shifting and changing color in the light. As a hatchling, she was adored for it. Her parents and siblings would watch in awe at the lightshow. Comments filtered in at how she would make an amazing living if she took into being a traveling showdragon. Her wings were a marvel, a rarity. And yet... when she tried to share into their dreams of grandeur, of amazement, she could find no interest at all.

In some ways, this pained her. They were right, she could have so much. But the thought of a crowd coming to see her, or being fawned over by so many different dragons... It didn't tempt her at all. Instead she dreamed of her winning, of her having something to protect. Travelling didn't sound much her thing anyways, not for the rest of her life. She realized she didn't want to stay at the Sundial, but she wanted to find somewhere else to settle down. Fearing outcast from her parents for not being able to live the dreams they supplied her with, she left in the middle of the night, slinking away from the den she had known all her life and the glorious embrace of the sunlight and the sky that the Sundial provided. It would be much better somewhere she could live out her own dreams, anyways.

Ashlynn stumbled through the edges of the Sunbeam Ruins, to the river that divided the domain and the Viridian Labyrinth. She looked around before making the small flight, and stumbling into the green grass on the other side. She cast one last look back at her home, before pushing on. She pushed into the forest, and there, she stumbled upon Foxfelt. The two exchanged chats as she accompanied him on his wander, and hearing her dreams, Foxfelt let it slip that his clan was looking for more warriors. Ashlynn, ecstatic, requested him to take her back to the clan. Foxfelt agreed, and Ashlynn was introduced to the clan as their newest warrior. She laid low, waiting for her chance, and when Cri came to watch over the new apprentices, she made sure to be a top-achiever. Succeeding, Cri offered her a position as a royal guard, and she accepted without hesitation.

____Ashlynn resides as one of the royal guards, watching over coronations and the royals as they go about their daily life. She sometimes has nightwatch, sometimes daywatch, either or really. Cri often praises how she can seem to do her duties even without sleep, but she always laughs it off. She adores the royal siblings, and one in particular...

____Ashlynn has grown very close to Kaya during her duties, and in turn, Tedo, if only so the Bogsneak can tease Ashlynn about her little crush, and his sister. The two know about their affections and could be considered mates, but Ashlynn nor Kaya really mention their relationship out loud to anyone and especially not Cri. Though, Ashlynn always has a place to sneak off to and let someone admire her wings with Kaya's around...

_PERSONALITY_

____Ashlynn is a deadly loyal dragon, with a natural drive to protect and fight. She doesn't become attached to anyone easily, which makes her and Kaya's relationship so special. She's great at using her energy wisely, often able to take constant shifts if Cri needs her to, having ways of staving off the sleep that tries to come for every dragon in the later hours of the night. She's reliable, making her perfect as a royal guard, who has such a tough job.

____She feels some guilt that she could not fulfill her parents dream, and that she left them and her siblings with no note of where she was going, or a goodbye, or any gift. She still holds some of the vanity as well in her wings, and the way they react with light. It's why she appreciates the way Kaya lets her sneak in so easily. The Fae adores the trick, and the way her room is open-roofed makes it even easier for Ashlynn to show it off. When it comes to the Fae, she'd do anything to protect her, no matter the cost.
