Biography
Seer
b i o g r a p h y Title | Prophet Personality Nervous, quiet, gentle, fearful, guarded, solitary. Seer's difficult upbringing has made it extremely difficult to get close to others. He spends much of his time in seclusion to avoid social situations, which he finds almost impossible to navigate. He is a kind and gentle individual but prefers to give his affection sparingly. He seems constantly worried that he will be reprimanded or taken advantage of which has resulted in him being very guarded. |

Art & History
...................................................................... History Seer had been different since he was a hatchling. His prophetic visions began as nightmares and resulted in a fair amount of trauma. Before he was able to understand the meaning of significance of his vision they were torturous and widely ignored by his birth clan, who considered him ill and a liability. When he was finally able to translate his gifts, he was quick to find a new home that appreciated him and his abilities. He is the prophet of the clan, able to see small pieces of the future. He aides the lesser prophets and necromancers in their work but spends most of his time in seclusion, trying to translate his visions into something tangible. |
The blackness was absolute. There was no light, no sound, just an emptiness that seemed to stretch out forever. Only one being dwelled within the dense shadow. He sat perfectly still, barely breathing, his eyes tightly closed to ward off the fear that chilled his body. The nightmare was a familiar one and yet he could not dispel the terror he felt in the midst of the crushing darkness. He knew what was to come next. His eyes would open and through the gloom would come a specter of death, a colossal skeletal beast with a grinning mouth of sharp teeth. It would rumble uneasily, approach him, and lean down, its purple eyes burning brightly. They seemed to look into his heart but he couldn’t turn away nor close his eyes. The beast captivated him, drawing him towards it with a strange and terrifying magnetism. And then it would speak, though he could not understand it, with a voice like distant thunder. And finally he would awaken, screaming, to face the disdain and disgust of whichever servant had been assigned to keep watch over him. It was a vicious and never-ending nightmare that had plagued him since his birth. He could never expect a different outcome. This had become his curse.
And thus the dream began, proceeding as it always had, filling him with dread and anxiety that would endure even after he woke. The creature approached him, illuminating him with the light from its dreadful eyes, and leaned down. But this time, when it spoke, he could understand.
“You are my child,” the creature rumbled. Its voice was surprisingly gentle, almost comforting in its affectation. “You have been chosen to receive my word. Do not fear me, hatchling. I will reveal only the truth to you. Awaken and take my messages to the Queen. She awaits you.”
In the gloom a dragon appeared, a beautiful female adorned with bones and banners of purple and black. She was elegant and composed, seated on a throne of purple crystals. As he observed her her head turned until her gaze was fixed on him. Her eyes were the same as the beast’s. They burned like purple fire.
He woke with a gasp, more composed than usual, blinking back the tears that were forming in his eyes. His nurse dozed at his bedside, undisturbed by his awakening. He sat up, breathing deeply and evenly as he had been taught, and reflected on this new revelation. Hearing the monster’s voice had calmed him somehow and his unease was lessened. Why had it taken so long to understand it? Who was the Queen? How would he find her? His miserable childhood, cast aside for his weak mind and constant nightmares, had transformed him into a meek and disturbed individual. He had no love or support, no one to confide in. None of his family had made an attempt to understand his condition or help him. They hid him away in a remote corner of their lair to be coldly observed by a series of nurses and caretakers. He lived in solitude away from the clan. Perhaps finding this Queen would save him from a life with no purpose. He had never seen her before. But perhaps in time his dreams would show him.
