Mythos is a natural caregiver. Despite his evening colours, perfect for blending into the trees at dusk, he is a terrible hunter, and even worse at everything else; his only true qualities are his writing, which is gorgeously neat, and his impeccable handling of hatchlings. He loves to take care of everyone, and in his old clan, his job was that of a nestguardian; one who takes care of all the hatchlings during a season, discarding biological relationships. He has brought this concept with him to the Sunstream Outpost, and although the other dragons have accepted it with some trepidation, his deft handling of both newborns and moody teenagers have shown that he is more than capable.

Mythos is quiet and careful when not around children, and his clumsiness can be a source of exasperation for those around him, but he is still immensely likeable. His sincerity in everything he does (or fails to do) wins over most of the dragons that he meets, and his persistence charms the rest.

RELATIONSHIPS His deepest, truest relationship is with Memoir. They do not consider themselves mates in the traditional sense, but they both care for each other deeply, and they know their relationship can weather any storm. Otherwise, his main attachments are to the hatchlings he has seen grow up over the years, notably Echoes, who arrived at the Outpost newly hatched and immediately bonded with Mythos.

BACKSTORY Mythos and Memoir both came from a nomadic clan called the Book of Friends. While travelling, this entire clan visited the Outpost, but only Mythos and Memoir stayed, feeling a deep connection to this sunny place by the sea. Mythos's first task was to teach the other dragons sign language, so they could all communicate with Memoir; but the first clutch of hatchlings were born only weeks after their arrival, so he quickly found a way to show how he could otherwise contribute to the Outpost.
