Equuleus and Eridanus, sisters in everything but blood. They hatched from in same nest, under a blood moon, and were labelled cursed from the moment they came into the world. Bound and cast out, the sisters had to cling onto each other to survive.
Eridanus, the defiant one. She snarled at the elders when they turned their backs on the two newly hatched children, blood dripping from her wings. In time, her anger crystallized into unyielding armour, protecting her naturally frail body from those who wish her and her sister dead. Her magic calls the beasts of the hunt to her command, and unleashes them on those who mean her beloved twin sister harm.
Equuleus, the cunning one. She saw no point in arguing for their lives in the hostile clan they were born in, guiding her sister away from the place they could never call home. She is always there to keep watch on her sister, to guide her on a better path, to halt her when the curse overwhelms her. Her magic leaks into her fur and scales, staining them red, and keeps her hidden. She drapes herself in finery, to appear perfect on the outside, such that all that hints to the mess underneath is the shards of a once strong horn.
