Bluebell

The Pearlcatcher rolled her shining orb between her talons, thinking. It was a warm day, though not truly warm, as it was never truly warm in the Southern Icefield. She had slipped out of the moss-covered cave, glad to be able to stretch her glistening wings for the first time in quite some time.
The snow crunched beneath her talons as she got up, desperate for something interesting to do. She looked around. It was about the same in all directions. Nothing but blindingly white ice and snow. Except, of course, in the distance, where the line of the sea’s surface was barely visible in the north and west, the sun reflecting off its blueish surface like everything else around her. Though, she knew the terrain by heart, and knew of the Longneck Beastclan that made their home on one of the white-capped islands, off in the sea. In a blur of wings and ice, she jumped into the air, winging her way west. It was time to make use of those old siren powers she had inherited.
The Longnecks never saw it coming. She simply chose a rock just out of sight from their camp, and willed herself to change her form, and sang her heart out as loud as she could. The Longnecks came one after another, at least five, and she had quite a feast.
