ABOUT. Lytri is a disappointment to his family. He didn't start that way, of course, having received a perfectly good education--granted, he was raised among raiders--as a healer. He proved himself to be a competent magic-user and was on the fast track to a bright future when, well. His younger brother killed him in a petty squabble. His elder sister discovered the body, and as luck would have it, she was a necromancer. In the five minute gap in between death and undeath, Lytri claims to have heard the Plaguebringer's voice commanding him to spread her teachings. Now, Lytri wanders the Wasteland, preaching the good word of the Filthy One despite being his existence being antithetical to the core tenets of the Plague. There are stranger contradictions. He just tries not to dwell on it. IMPRESSIONS. Clans are more likely to welcome a wandering healer than a priest, so Lytri puts his medical expertise to use more often than his teachings. This is fine by him; tending to ailments and prolonging dragons' survival is in line with the Plaguebringer's wishes. He will preach regardless. Most learn to get used to it. PAST. Children of the field medic and mortician often find themselves fascinated with cadavers and corpses. Some do eventually leave the nest to become healers (albeit unsettling ones with a less-than-ideal bedside manner) though a precious few reject their parents’ teachings entirely, instead setting out to forge their own path; others choose to put their knowledge to other uses and only time will tell whether they will use it for good. Regardless, all depart with at least this one lesson in their heads: only the strong are spared by the Plague.
