2 cups eggnog
1 tablespoon orange blossom honey
1/8 teaspoon hazelnut extract or Torani syrup
1 shot glass of spiced rum, ~2 oz. (bourbon is OK, too)

Combine all of the above and mix well. Place in a small pot over very low heat and warm to 110 °F (you can use a microwave but do it slowly so the eggnog doesn't coagulate). Split the coffee between the two large mugs, then pour in the warm eggnog mixture. Top with whipped cream, ground cinnamon, and turbinado sugar.

Like with any recipe, adjust to your own desires. On the eggnog, I like to use the best "regular" brand, not the premium stuff. I think the orange blossom honey makes a difference but regular is OK, too. Honey adds another level of flavor and helps balance the strong coffee even with all the sweetness of the eggnog. As for the hazelnut, a little goes a long way. This is still good without any liquor (I leave it out at work) but, again, using a spiced rum (I prefer an off-brand version of Captain Morgan) adds yet another level of flavor. For me, splitting a shot between two big mugs is perfect for both flavor and getting one "warm" without tipping over into "highly buzzed."
