Nobody knows how, when or why Kindred sprung into being. Perhaps it was an external intervention, maybe a butterfly flapped its wings somewhere in the cosmos. But it should be noted that he did come into existence against his will. He sprung into being on lands colonised by the beast clans and soon found a form that they underestimated. A fox, a desert one at that, suggesting he came from the highland scrubbery that would one day become the Hedgelands. Years have gone by and he has watched and tricked the inhabitants of the land. Almost against his will to be alone another being came into being from him, by him, who knows. Shual shares a similar form but lacks the trickster nature of her "father". He dotes on her, however, feeling a paternalistic concern for the young godling.
