What happens when you love somethings so much it burns through you entirely?

Waxmelts are, beyond all else, fiercely loyal protectors of those they love. The bonds they form and their loyalty to those bonds make them brilliant leaders; they are the dragons that others look to for safety and direction. However, this fierce personality and emotional drive often leaves them burned out both figuratively and literally. Waxmelts have limited stamina -- if they cannot keep their core wick lit, they are unable to move at all until their bodies have healed enough to relight. This can become especially dangerous, as Waxmelts are known for their wanderlust and constant drive to explore beyond their physical limits. Waxmelts who wander off alone may go years without being seen, as they become trapped without a way to relight and make it back home.
