Tehlus'to Ehljiri. The second son without the wandering instinct of his brother and father before him. A protector, a lancer amongst archers, desperate to stay but struck with the notion that his family didn't know how to handle a domestic son. So he fled, to Gridania where scornful eyes took in his keeper tattoos and fangs. And then to Ul'dah, under a different name, where he was taken under a young elezen's wing and eventually found friends, a best friend, a Seeker who saw beneath the thorny, protective exterior of Seff's shell and believed he could be so much more. He found a partner, he even found a miqo'te kit of his own to take on as his own, and he had the family he wanted but was denied early on. And then the Calamity took everything from him. With debilitating injuries, he wallowed in his grief and inability to function for... years. He and a surviving hrothgar friend took care of each other in the ways that they could in the aftermath, having lost a husband and son, and a brother respectively. Eventually, once he could walk again and once the two of them felt the wounds of grief slowly healing, he left Ul'dah, the sight of the city too painful in the wake of his memories. And if he felt the tug of wanderlust flicker to life as he witnessed Dalamud's flaming debris fall like a violent starshower, he told no one. A son. A husband. A father. A mercenary. A friend.
