Biography

Stuffed Mith Sand 94cL8JL.png Sand Starfish
Wine Thorn
Creator:
iamnotsurewatdo

Wine Thorns are ambush type predators that are solitary and territorial, they primarily hunt in Fishspine Reef and make nests in the walls of Leviathan Trench. They dig out small holes to hide in and camouflage themselves with kelp, coral, sand, rocks, bones and various species of starfish and sea urchins. The stripes on their body and wings makes them perfectly camouflaged with all the colorful coral of the reef. They hunt by sitting and waiting for small fish and crustaceans to swim or walk by and ambush them by wrapping them in their manes. They prefer to hunt in places with the most amounts of kelp and coral.

When it comes to making pairs, Wine Thorns choose mates that have the largest territory and have the most amount of thorns. Males often show-off their thorns and battle over dominance of territory with other males. When Wine Thorns live in lairs they gather all sorts of trinkets and materials and then hide them, making lives difficult for all dragons that love to organize and sort things. To keep dragons from their hoards they often give a warning display of their thorns. But Wine Thorns also have a sweet side, and are known for playing with hatchlings (including those that aren’t even theirs) and entertaining them with building small hoards and caves to hide and play in.
