Biography

Neutralized Paleblood Ghouls wrote:
Even Neutralized Ghouls may seek the Paleblood, their desperation for connection to a deity erasing any sense of fear at what unknown world lies beyond the Portal. Without any Plague or other element remaining in them, these dragons are the only Necromancers to receive the full effects of the Paleblood. Instead of merely ashen, their bodies become bone white, scale and hide and all. What's more, while a regular Hunter will mutate over years of time (if they survive that long), a Neutralized Hunter experiences a rapid onset of mutations. Extra eyes are the first, as with other Hunters, then limbs, then… other things. Teeth and gaping maws where such things should not be found, often with grasping arms within; undulating, pulsing swathes of flesh that seem to move with minds of their own; other heads, or half-formed faces growing out of their necks or sides. These dragons no longer had ties to Plague, and so the Paleblood consumes them in their entirety.

Though still sane, and usually respectful to other Necromancers, Neutralized Paleblood Ghouls no longer consider themselves quite the same as them. Their loyalty is to the Presence and the Portal alone. Its will is theirs, and this blatant disregard of their former allegiance to Plague is seen by many Necromancers to be proof that the Presence isn’t working towards the Plaguebringer’s interests, but instead actively working against her, and perhaps the other deities as well.
