Chimera is... odd. He doesn't talk much about his past, but he'll sometimes mention an alchemy accident. Or two. Or more. One gets the sense he's been changed by his experience, and not in the metaphorical way.
His main research focus is developing more dark-tolerant plants. His latest experiment is exposing sunflower seeds to controlled amounts of shadow magic, then documenting their growth in a shady garden patch. The results are looking promising -- and also, strangely, purple.
Chimera tends to keep to himself, but dragons who look past his uncanny manner find him level-headed and surprisingly kind. He can be coaxed to talk at length about his hobbies. Ask about his carnivorous plant collection.
