- eternally anxious fae, somehow wound up in the library after the Great Microdeer Stampede of Rotriver made its way to the Houndstooth Manor
- her stampede managed to disrupt trade at Rotriver Cavern for weeks.

- works with Scrul and Arrakoa in the library now, constantly fighting with the candles bc they don't want to stay lit. gods forbid anything deer-shaped wanders into the room
- in eternal fear of the more deer-shaped taxidermy in the manor
- mess with her books and you will receive a sword to the face. Deryn doesnt fool around with 'barbarians' mistreating her books
- born in nature, but studied in light for years before accepting a job offer in plague. historian and scholar, her interests are wide and varied. Deryn can give you a lecture on just about any topic
